Dele-Bashiru, who was occasionally used at right-back during the 2023/24 campaign, made 38 appearances and scored three times.

He made his Watford debut in August 2019 in a Carabao Cup tie against Coventry City, before going on to score his first goal in the FA Cup against Tranmere Rovers in January 2020.

An ACL injury unfortunately cut his season short during the early part of 2020/21, then in the following campaign he made a loan switch to Reading in a bid for more minutes and to restore his fitness.

Dele-Bashiru’s spell with the Royals proved successful as he scored four times in 39 appearances, but 2022/23 was again impacted by injury as he played just six matches after returning to Vicarage Road.
